Stir in the green beans and 2/3 of a cup of the onions (about half). Add pepper to taste and mix everything well.
1 1/3 cup crispy French fried onions, 1/4 teaspoon pepper to taste
Cook In the Air Fryer: Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes. Stir the casserole, then sprinkle the remaining onions on top and cook for 2 more minutes to brown them.
Cook In the Oven: Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Stir, then sprinkle the remaining onions on top and bake for 5 more minutes until they are golden brown.
Notes
The ingredients for this recipe include a lot of sodium, so it shouldn't need extra salt. You can use unsalted cream of mushroom soup and reduced sodium soy sauce if you prefer, but it probably still won't need salt.
If you are cooking a lot of things in the oven at once, like a turkey, stuffing, rolls and so on, it might take longer to cook the casserole. Make sure the middle is hot before serving it.
