2tablespoongarlicminced
2teaspoonssalt
2teaspoonsblack pepper
Instructions
First, verify that your roast fits in the air fryer. Trim it a little if necessary.
5-6 pound prime rib roast
Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F for 5 minutes and prepare the roast while it preheats.
Pat the roast dry with a paper towel. Put the roast in a shallow pan and smear the butter all over the outside of the raw meat. Pour the Worcestershire sauce on top.
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
Rub the horseradish all over the top and sides. Then add chives and crushed garlic. Sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper.
1/3 cup prepared horseradish, 2 tablespoons fresh chives, 2 tablespoon garlic, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons black pepper
Put the prepared prime rib into the air fryer basket and cook at 375 degrees F for about 15 minutes to sear the outside of the meat.
Lower the cooking temperature to 315 degrees F. Continue air frying for another 45-50 minutes.
Use a digital meat thermometer to check the internal temperature in the thickest part of the roast. It is done when it reaches 132 - 135 degrees F internally.
If it has yet to reach your desired temperature, continue cooking. Air fry it for additional 5-8 minutes and then check again.
Take the meat out of the air fryer. Let it rest for 10-20 minutes before slicing it and serving.
Notes
Make sure your prime rib roast fits in the air fryer basket. A boneless roast will be your best option.
Always use a meat thermometer to verify the internal temperature.
Take the roast out when it is about 5 degrees below your desired final temperature.
Let the prime rib rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing for juicy and delicious meat.
