Rum balls are easy no-bake treats that are perfect for holiday parties. This dessert has a rich chocolate flavor, along with a boozy kick!

Ingredients
2-1/2cupsvanilla wafer cookiescrushed
1cuppecansground
1cuppowdered sugar
2tablespoonscocoa powder
1/4cuprum
3tablespoonshoney
2tablespoonswater
Additional powdered sugarcocoa powder, or sprinkles for decorating
Instructions
Use a food processor to crush the vanilla wafers to make cookie crumbs. Then use the food processor to finely grind the pecans.
2-1/2 cups vanilla wafer cookies, 1 cup pecans
Mix the vanilla wafer crumbs, pecans, powdered sugar, and cocoa in a large bowl.
1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
In a small bowl, whisk the rum, honey, and water.
1/4 cup rum, 3 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons water
Stir the rum mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients.
Use a cookie scoop to make 1-inch balls.
Roll the balls in additional powdered sugar, cocoa powder, or sprinkles.
Additional powdered sugar
Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, but preferably a full day, before serving.
Notes
These are meant for people over 21 because of the alcohol content. Substitute water or apple juice to make non-alcoholic rum balls.Other possible coatings for the rum balls include nuts, coconut, sparkling sugar, or melted chocolate.These are also good made with whiskey, bourbon, or brandy.
