Add the baking powder to the mixing bowl and toss the wings to mix.
1 Tablespoon baking powder
Add the Cajun seasoning and toss to mix.
2 Tablespoons Cajun seasoning
Air Fry
Put the chicken wings in an air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd them. Keep them in a single layer.
Air fry at 360 degrees F for 18 minutes.
Flip them oven, increase the air fryer heat to 400 degrees F, and air fry for 6 more minutes.
Make sure the wings have reached an internal temperature of 165 F.
Oven Baking
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Put the wings on racks on parchment paper or foil-lined baking sheets. Spray them with a little nonstick cooking spray. Bake in a preheated 400 F oven for 40 minutes, flipping them over halfway through the cooking time.
Make sure the wings have reached an internal temperature of 165 F.
Notes
Frozen Wings in Air Fryer
For frozen wings, don't add the seasoning at the beginning. It won't stick well to frozen wings. Air fry at 360 degrees F for 26 minutes. Flip after 15 minutes and add the Cajun seasoning then, but skip the baking powder. Then increase the heat to 400 degrees F and air fry them for another 6 minutes. Check with an instant-read thermometer to ensure they have reached 165 degrees F.
