Servings:
6
Ingredients
2
tablespoons

divided
1
small onion
½ cup chopped onion
6
pork chops, bone in or boneless
about 2 pounds
Salt and pepper to taste
½
teaspoon
garlic powder
1
can
cream of mushroom soup
10.5 ounces
1
can
cream of celery soup
10.5 ounces
Instructions
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
2 tablespoons olive oil
Add onions and cook until soft and translucent, about 3 minutes. Then add remaining olive oil.
1 small onion,
2 tablespoons olive oil
Add the pork chops to the frying pan in single layer, seasoning with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
6 pork chops, bone in or boneless,
Salt and pepper to taste,
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Brown pork chops on both sides, for about 3 minutes per side.
Put the browned pork chops in the insert of the slow cooker.
In a small bowl, whisk together soups until they are smooth and creamy. Pour the soup mixture over pork chops.
1 can cream of mushroom soup,
1 can cream of celery soup
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
Serve the crockpot pork chops immediately with mashed potatoes or white rice.
Notes
Substitute cream of chicken soup if you prefer.
Use a crock pot liner to make cleanup simple.
Boneless pork chops cook quicker than bone-in because they tend to be thinner and leaner.
Spoon the mushroom sauce over the pork chops when serving.
