Ingredients
2tablespoonsbutter
1chicken bouillon cube
28ounceschicken broth
12ouncesegg noodles
Instructions
Put the butter in a saucepan on medium heat.
2 tablespoons butter
As the butter melts, it will start to foam. Keep an eye on it and occasionally swirl the pan or stir the butter.
It's ready when the butter turns a golden brown color and gives off a nutty aroma. This process usually takes about 4-5 minutes. Be careful not to burn the butter.
Take the pan off the heat and add in the chicken bouillon cube. Stir until it dissolves completely in the butter.
1 chicken bouillon cube
Add the broth to the saucepan, put it back on the burner, and bring it to a boil.
28 ounces chicken broth
Add the egg noodles and bring to a boil for a second time.
12 ounces egg noodles
Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid and turn off the heat, leaving it on the burner.
Let it stand for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
Notes
Be patient when browning the butter. Take the pot off the burner when you smell that nutty aroma and see a golden hue.
Either wide or thin egg noodles work fine in this recipe.
