My oldest daughter graduated from college over the weekend! This is a huge milestone, so naturally we had to have a family graduation party and celebrate her accomplishments. We had Mother’s Day to celebrate too, so it was a combination party with family and friends. For dessert we had a graduation cake and Coke Floats, which were the perfect ending to a hot and humid day.
We made a Coke float bar, which featured Vanilla ice cream, Coke, Diet Coke, chocolate chips, various sprinkles and gummy worms for making the ultimate Coke Float.
Everyone had a blast selecting toppings and making the perfect combination of ingredients! I thought gummy worms were a little strange to include in a float, but my teenagers insisted on including them, and sure enough there were very few left by the end of the day.

Of course we enjoyed sharing Coke and Diet Coke during the rest of the party too! I bought the soda at Sam’s Club, which has huge 32 pack or 35-pack cases of Coca Cola, Diet Coke or Coke Zero cans.  This large size is perfect for stocking up for parties! The cases are in the beverage section at Sam’s Club. And this weekend, on May 17th, all Sam’s Club locations will have a Coca-Cola demo.  They will be sharing full cans of Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero between 11AM and 4PM. But quanities are limited, so be sure to get to Sam’s Club early to sample some free soda!
The cans feature a variety of nicknames, like Mom, Dad, Favorite, and Superstar. Everyone at the party had fun picking out cans with an appropriate nickname.
We put a cooler full of ice cold Coke and Diet Coke on the deck in a cooler, ad everyone was able to grab a can and share a Coke.
We had fantastic day, and the Coke and Diet Coke helped us stay cool and enjoy the summer weather! Â Let me know how you are going to Share it Forward with Coke this summer.
Congratulations to your daughter! Yes! She is a trendsetter! Love the idea of having all the different names and titles on the cokes for each guest! #client
I love this! I’ve had floats before, but I’ve never jazzed them up with candy and sprinkles! We are in charge of a treat for our family reunion next month…This would be perfect.
Such a classic summer treat! I remember icecream floats from my childhood with fondness!
I am not really a soda drinker but there’s just something about having an ice cold COKE on a hot summer day in Miami! 🙂 Now I am going to be drooling over the idea of making your Coke floats!! Yummy!
