Today’s Memory List question is: “From pj’s to snowsuits, tell us the most memorable OUTFIT you received from past holidays!” I don’t remember any outfits from my childhood, but I certainly remember this one that I made for my oldest ten years ago. It took me forever to make matching outfits for my daughter and her American Girl Doll!
Yesterday the question was, Stars? Santas? Tell us about the most memorable holiday DECORATION you had growing up! We had lots of homemade ornaments on our tree when I was a child. I loved the little pinecone men we made that had a pinecone body, styrofoam ball head and acorn cap hat. But my favorite was always the styrofoam balls covered in satin thread that we decorated with pins, beads, gold rick rack and sequins. Luckily I still have a few of those for my own tree.
How about you, what are your favorite holiday memories?
Those ornaments look so familiar! I had these when I was growing up too!
I remember ornaments we made at school with popsicle sticks and pictures of us hanging from the jungle gym. Ah, you brought back a great memory!
What great memories! I remember having some of those satin covered balls on the tree growing up also!
I remember the satin balls because ours wound up being super stringy and getting tangled with other ornaments or decorations when packed away. Yours look way nicer than ours were haha.
Great memories. I can’t wait to start some with my kids!
I remember making those kinds of ornaments too!
