  1. Crush the candy or candy canes. I like putting them in a zippered bag and then rolling them with a rolling pin. You can also bang the bag with a spoon or hammer to crush them.
  2. Use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese with the sugar and peppermint extract until smooth.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping and crushed candies. Don’t use a mixer for this; use a spatula.
  4. Chill for 1 hour before serving.

  • 10 candy canes or starlight candy crushed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 container whipped topping thawed

Instructions

  • Put the candy canes in a zippered bag. Roll it with a rolling pin to crush them, or bang on it with a spoon.
