Every year my kids and I like to create a Holiday food craft, and this year we made a Cookie Christmas tree and decorated it with candy.
The tree is made out of nested star cookies in graduated sizes which are then stacked up to make a tree shape. I frosted the cookies with white icing to give them a snow covered look, and then used royal icing to secure the Sixlets and Shimmer Stars to the tree.
Decorating the tree was a little frustrating, because the candy was so small. We worked from the bottom up, and it was easy for us to knock a lower row off as we added the candy. But we persevered, and the final result was worth the effort! I love the clean look of the blue, white and silver candy, and this makes a great centerpiece for our dining room table.
I would put it in the Christmas stockings.
I would put various candy in little containers with ribbons on top and bring it to family gatherings over the holidays!
I’d set up a candy buffet with it and let the people who come in my house eat from it. Thanks.

My husband and I always like to make a gingerbread house and sugar cookies, this would be perfect for that!
That cake is beautiful! I would love to make one like that!Nice job!
I would probably have good intentions of making something with it and end up eating it before I got to it.
*sigh* I get so tired of the browser wars and constant “improvements” I am having so much trouble with the blogs in IE.. the rafflecopter forms not showing up.. but they show up in firefox… I know it’s their “wars” and such.. oh well… I would keep this for ME! I bake for the holidays, I host for the holidays and OH my the kids LOVE when G-Ma has candy. It is special because normally we never give them any!
I would share it with family and friends and just eat it.
USE IT ON THE GINGER BREAD HOUSE & EAT IT TOO!
Tell me what you’d use the candy for. Would you make something or just eat it all.
have to make a cake..thanks
It would be a blast to bake something and be creative with this candy. Would be something to serve guests that they would remember.
I would use them for Christmas cookies! And maybe I’d attempt making that tree… it’s adorable.
I won, I would put the candy in Christmas stockings for my daughter, nieces and nephew, and my students at school.
I would bake cookies and cupcakes and use the candy to decorate them. I love your Cookie Christmas Tree. Maybe I’ll try to make that. 🙂
I would share the candy with my family.
I would definitely make something. If I ate all that candy my teeth would fall out.
I would probably eat some and make some stuff.
I would start with good intentions of making something, but I would probably end up eating it!
I would just eat all the candy. I love their products.
I would let my kids have it and use it for a while.
